The children will have a party to remember with magical entertianment, lots of audience participation, balloon sculptures and great party games. Not forgetting of course Peanuts the mischievous Monkey puppet who is delightful.
Ivor is an experienced children’s entertainer specialising in children’s party entertainment. His lively magic show contains good strong visual magic with an emphasis on audience participation. The show includes a very entertaining puppet routine (this has won several talent shows over the years). It concludes with balloon modelling with a special model for the birthday child. Afterwards all the children receive a balloon model. If The full “Magic Party” is required, after a break Ivor will become the “Games Master” and the fun continues!
Ivor has full public liability insurance and although this is not required by law for children’s entertainers, his DBS certificate number is 000951946502.
Ivor the Magic Man
Who is he? Never heard of him!”. That is not surprising, as for reasons both medical and career, he has taken a 16 year hiatus from the entertainment industry. Now having taken early retirement the time is right for him to share the benefits of his long experience. He has a unique sense of humour, which has remained with him throughout his life’s journey (he calls it his “sixth sense”, more like nonsense!).
A Short History
Ivor became interested in magic and entertaining at eleven years of age. At fourteen he became the youngest ever member of “Leicester Magic Circle” at that time (see the gallery for the Leicester Mercury feature and other old stuff). Some years later, he moved from being a hobbyist to a children’s party magician. This continued for many years, until forced to cease due to medical issues. During his active period he found that he had the gift of getting the audience involved and keeping their interest. This was mainly due to his own enthusiastic approach so the “Magic Party” evolved. Magic show, Puppet, Balloon Modelling and then Games Master. Despite his advancing years he still has some energy and enough puff left over to blow up the odd balloon and twist it into something that does not resemble what it is supposed to be. The kids love it anyway!
That’s enough for now. Ivor the Magic Man is back, better than ever before, as life’s experiences, both good and bad have honed his character to perfection. Hmm….
